Mrs. Georgia Mae Townsend, 84, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Monday, April 19, 2021 at Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, April 21, 2021, at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Marty Johnson, Bro. Larry DePriest, and Bro. Bud Ricketts officiating.  Interment will follow in Palmer Shelter Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Townsend was born September 14, 1936, in Memphis, Tennessee, to the late Louie Simpson and Eula (Achord) Simpson.  She worked as a bookkeeper for Miller Construction Company and was a member of Camden First United Pentecostal Church.  She was also preceded in death by her husband, Larry Townsend and one brother, L. A. Simpson.

She is survived by one daughter, Shelli Townsend (Renee Wills) of Memphis, one step-son, Tommy Townsend of Trenton, one step-daughter, Judy Ringold (Edward) of Bartlett, three sisters, Margarette McDonald of Bald Knob, Arkansas, Shirley Cox of Parsons, and Gwen Beatley of Memphis.  She also leaves five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, and two special grand-pups.
