Mr. Gerald Corder, 71 of Buena Vista, passed away Saturday, June 8, 2019 at St. Thomas West Hospital in Nashville, Tennessee.

In Lieu of flowers family request donations be made to St. Jude Childrens Hospital, 501 St. Jude Pl, Memphis, TN 38105-9959.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, June 11, 2019 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home.  Bro. Joe Abbott will officiate the service.  Interment will follow in the Prospect Cemetery.

Pallbearers who will serve are Dave Sanders, Mauzy Willis, Brent Rice, Chris Lowe, Alan Robison, Mark Arnold.  Honorary pallbearers who will serve are Tommy Davis, Steve Stanfield, and Steve Pinkston.

The family will receive friends in the Oak Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Corder was born March 7, 1948 in Pikeville, Tennessee to the late Ruth Elizabeth Corder.  He worked for Rice Farms as a dozer operator.  He was also preceded in death by a son, Clint Edward Corder.

He is survived by one daughter, Michelle Corder Godwin (Mike) of Pigeon Forge, one son, Casey Corder (Pam) of Hollow Rock, one brother, James Corder of Camden and one nephew, Rocky Corder of North Carolina.  He also leaves six grandchildren, Kaylee Cole (Cody), Karissa Gilbert (Justin), Kaden Corder, Kyler Corder, Corwin Frizzell, Cassidy Windom, two great-grandsons, Rowan Gilbert, Psymon Frizzell and an honorary grandson, Antonio Gordon.
