Mr. Giles Newbill, 91, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at Baptist Hospital in Huntingdon.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM Friday, August 14, 2026, at Union Academy Cemetery with Brother Jason Jackson officiating.

In Lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to the Union Academy Cemetery Fund.

Mr. Newbill was born January 10, 1935, in Huntingdon, Tennessee, to the late Joe and Vivian Opal (Hall) Newbill. He was a U.S. Army and Tennessee National Guard Veteran. He was self-employed, owning his own construction company. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. He was also preceded in death by sister, Carolyn Newbill, and two brothers, Jerrell Newbill and Richard Newbill.

Giles’ life spanned more than nine decades marked by commitment, perseverance, and a steadfast presence among those who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Mable Newbill and a brother, Terry Newbill of Trezevant.
