Mr. Gordon Browning "Acie" Kirby, 82 of Lavinia, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at Baptist Memorial Hospital.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted 12:00 Noon Saturday October 24, 2020 at Little Grove Cemetery. Rev. Robert Dunlap will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.

He was born May 2, 1938 to the late Jessie and Edna Barksdale Kirby. He was a member of Little Grove Baptist Church where he was a faithful member until his health failed.

Gordon worked several jobs and was retired from All Steel Company. Gordon was preceded in death by his parents, one daughter Iniece Carter, a son Eric Kirby, three sisters and four brothers.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife Faye Kirby, two sons, Cornelius Carter and Michael Strayhorn, one sister, Evelyn McCollum and a host of grandchildren, a sister in law, Louise Clark his church family and many nieces, nephews, and friends.
