Mrs. Hazel S. Thomas, 94 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Thursday, February 26, 2015 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, March 3, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens. Bro. Fred Ward will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherry wood Room on Monday from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Thomas was born February 14, 1921 in Tennessee to the late John Logan Smothers and Sallie Ann (Lewis) Smothers. She was a retired sales clerk for Kuhn's Dollar Store and a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon. She is also preceded in death by her husband, Earl Thomas, three brothers, Charles Smothers, Leo Smothers, and J.L. Smothers, and one sister, Verlya Wilks.

She is survived by one daughter, Brenda Williams of Huntingdon, two sons, Billy Thomas of Hollow Rock and John Thomas of Anchorage, Alaska. She also leaves five grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
