Obituary

Helen Elaine Pearson, 76, entered her heavenly home on September 8, 2026. She was born on November 29, 1949, in Carroll County, Tennessee, to the late Clara and Miles Pearson.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 PM Sunday, September 20, 2026 in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mt. Olive Cemetery in Atwood

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday from 12:00 PM until time of the service.

Helen attended Webb School in McKenzie, Tennessee, and later pursued her education in cosmetology in Louisville, Kentucky. After obtaining her Cosmetology License, she used her talents to provide hair care services from her home. Through her creativity, kindness, and caring spirit, she helped others look and feel their best while building lasting friendships with many of her clients.

During her working years, Helen was employed in manufacturing facilities in McLemoresville and Atwood, Tennessee.

At an early age, Helen accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior and remained a devoted and faithful member of Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church throughout her life. Her love for God and dedication to His work were reflected in her many years of service to the church.

Helen faithfully served in numerous capacities, including President of the Usher Board, Sunday School Teacher for both primary and adult classes, Vacation Bible School Teacher, Usher Trainer, Hospitality Coordinator, Welcome Greeter, and Program Facilitator. She also served as President of the Obion River District Association Usher Board, where she organized and led workshops and training sessions for ushers throughout the district.

Known for her warm smile and welcoming spirit, Helen made everyone feel loved and valued. Whether greeting visitors at the church doors, reading acknowledgments during special programs, or speaking at seasonal events, she served with grace, humility, and excellence.

Teaching God's Word was one of Helen's greatest passions. As a dedicated Sunday School teacher for many years, she shared biblical knowledge, encouraged spiritual growth, and helped guide others in their walk with Christ. She lived according to God's Word and demonstrated His love through her actions every day.

Helen was a kind, compassionate, and God-fearing woman whose unconditional love touched countless lives. Her legacy of faith, love, service, and generosity will continue to inspire all who knew her. She leaves behind a lifetime of cherished memories that will forever remain in the hearts of her family, friends, church family, and community.

She leaves to cherish her memory and continue her legacy: her brother, Larry C. Pearson; her sister, Linda Pearl Pearson; her aunt, Bertha Mae Cunningham; along with nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, cousins, other relatives, and many dear friends.

Though she will be deeply missed, her love and unwavering faith will live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
