Mr. James Hershel Riggs, 76, of Bruceton, Tennessee, passed away Wednesday, September 6, 2023 at his home, with his daughter by his side.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11:00 AM with Bro. Robert Simmons and Bro. Donald Mitchell officiating.

Mr. Riggs was born May 18, 1947 in Camden, Tennessee, to the late Early Riggs and Nancy Grooms.  He was a maintenance supervisor at UTI New Johnsonville.  Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by one son, James Hershel Riggs, Jr., two sisters, Sherry Tanaka, Helen Riggs, three brothers, Billy Riggs, Marty Grooms, and Richard Grooms.

He is survived by one daughter, Jolena Burke (Tommy) of Bruceton, one sister, Mary Mitchell (Donald) of Huntingdon, three brothers, David Riggs (Nancy) of Bruceton, Robert Riggs (Kim), and Stanley Riggs (Cyndi) of McKenzie.  He also leaves one grandson, Tyler Burke and one great-granddaughter, Mia Burke, both of Bruceton.
