Bro. Huston Earl Gateley 84, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, August 3, 2013 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Twin Oaks Community Cemetery. Bro. Steve Klein will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday after 5:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Bro. Gateley was born February 18, 1929 in Cedar Grove, Tennessee to the late Jesse Lonzo and Gladys Clay (Sellers) Gateley. He had served as a Minister for Christ since 1952 and was a member of the Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Miriam Ruth (Gateley) Wiser and a brother, Othel Linford Gateley.

He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Vivian Gateley, three sons, Tim Gateley of Huntingdon, Mark Gateley of Clinton and Jonathan Gateley of Humboldt. He also leaves seven grandchildren, Emily (Wiser) Hampton, Jesse Gateley, Hannah Gateley, Meleah Gateley, Seth Gateley, Colten Gateley and Luke Gateley and three great- grandchildren, Heidi Hampton, Darci Hampton and Poppy Hampton.
