Ida Virginia Rhea, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on August 20, 2026, in Jackson, Tennessee, at the age of 81. Born on February 19, 1945, in Cedar Grove, Ida lived a life defined by compassion, dedication, and unwavering love for her family and community.

Ida devoted her professional life to caring for others, serving as a Registered Nurse at Jackson Madison County General Hospital. Her empathy and skill touched countless lives, and she diligently extended her care to the communities of Huntingdon and McKenzie. Ida’s commitment to her calling reflected her gentle spirit and steadfast work ethic.
Ida will be deeply missed by her loving family. She is survived by her daughter, Sophie Rhea; sons Tristan Rhea, Vincent Rhea, and Bobby McAlexander; her sister-in-law, Rhonda McAlexander; as well as several nieces, nephews, and other relatives who cherished her presence and guidance.
In addition to her remarkable life, Ida was preceded in death by loved ones whose memories she lovingly held close: her sons, Tommy Rhea and Mark Rhea; her brothers, Richard McAlexander and Charles McAlexander; her sisters, Mary Lee Sutton McAlexander and Kathy Rhea; and her parents, Thurman McAlexander and Martha Jane Kizer McAlexander.
Throughout her journey, Ida displayed grace and generosity, leaving an enduring impact on everyone who had the privilege of knowing her. Her legacy of kindness and selfless service will continue to inspire those she leaves behind.
Those who loved Ida take comfort in the many lives she touched and the love she so freely gave. Her memory will remain a guiding light for her family and friends as they honor her life and the cherished moments shared together.
