J C Dupree's Obituary
Mr. J. C. Dupree, 77 of Bruceton, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, October, 26, 2013 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, October 29, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment followed in the Mt. Pleasant Cemetery. Rev. Kenneth Hillsman officiated the service
Mr. Dupree was born December 18, 1935 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Eddie and Veddie (Foulks) Dupree. He was a tech operator for Conalco and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Addie M. Harris, Palmer Barmore, infant sister, Lida Virgie Dupree; brother, Manuel Dupree and infant brother, Prince Edward Dupree.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Virginia (Hillsman) Dupree, one daughter, Amy Dupree of Cedar Grove, one son J. C. Dupree Jr. of Ripley, four sisters, Eddie Mae Pearson of Bruceton, Jennie McCain of Huntingdon, Evalena Newbill of McLemoresville, Evarena Porter of Bruceton, two brothers, Eddie Gene Dupree and J. R. Dupree both of Bruceton. He also leaves one step granddaughter and one step great granddaughter.
