Mr. James Darrell Allen 71, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, August 16, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Christian Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Allen was born September 26, 1941 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Charlie and Mary Ellen (Wells) Allen. He worked in the Engineering Department at the Milan Arsenal and was a member of the Huntingdon Church of Christ. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Tenia Allen; two sisters, Winnie Konazeski, Bonnie Baxter and two brothers, Randy Allen and Thomas Allen.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years Betty Jane Allen; one daughter, Carla Hollowell (fiancé Tommy) of Huntingdon; one sister, Alice Cassidy (husband Bob) of McKenzie; one brother, Bobby Allen (wife Kay) of Huntingdon; Brother -in-law, James Baxter of Trezevant and his best friend, Paul Thomas of Cedar Grove. He also leaves one grandson, Austin Rivera (wife Brittany) of Huntingdon.
