Mr. James Eldridge "Jim" Pruitt, 82 of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, August 3, 2014 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 5, 2014 at 10:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Hebron Cemetery. Bro. Mike Ridgley will officiate the service.
Pallbearers who will serve, Chris Massey, William Kirby, Darrell Pruitt, Silas Slaybaugh, Jon Mallette, and Adam Pruitt. Honorary pallbearers will be Wendell Forrester and Frankie Turner.
The family will receive friends in the Oak Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
Mr. Pruitt was born July 1, 1932 in Carroll County, Tennessee, to the late Joseph Daniel and Verlie Ann (Pace) Pruitt. He was a member of Liberty All United Methodist Church and retired from the Tecumseh Company in Maintenance. He was also preceded in death by his first wife, Luzetta Loveless Pruitt, one daughter, Debra Ann Pruitt Campbell, and one son, Terry Len Pruitt.
He was survived by his wife, Anne Cody, one daughter, Cindy Lou Doles, of Cedar Grove, two sons, Larry Joe Pruitt (wife Carol) of Jackson, Jamie Ray Pruitt of Lavinia, two brothers, Robert Landis Pruitt and Dwayne "Doodle" Pruitt (wife Barbara) both of Indiana. He also leaves nine grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
