Mr. James E. Melton of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, May 7, 2025 at his home.

Memorial services will be conducted at Mt. Carmel Congregational Methodist Church 277 Wynn Ferry Rd. Big Sandy, Tennessee  38221 on Saturday May 31, 2025 at 3:00 PM

Mr. Melton was born March 10, 1945 in Huntingdon, Tennessee to the late Arthur and Ila (French) Melton. He was the owner and operator of JM Well Service until his health started failing and turned over operations to his son, Kaleb.

He is survived by his wife, Sondra Melton, two daughters, Debbie Atkins (Dr. Keith) of Parsons and Cindy Miller (Gary) of Jackson, a son, Kaleb Coleman (Allison) of Huntingdon, three grandchildren, Halie Anglin (Dalton), Dr. Karrington Boyd (Mason) and Neeley Atkins, two great grandchildren, Saydee and Grayson Anglin.
