Obituary

Mr. James "Jim" Rosser, 99, of Clarksburg, Tennessee passed away Thursday, February 20, 2025 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Monday, February 24, 2025 at 11:00 AM with Bro. Chase Sanders officiating. Burial will follow in Sellers Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday from 2:00 PM until 7:00 PM and on Monday from 9:00 AM until time of the service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Chris Williams, Guy Williams, Jimmy Pritchard, Ricky Pritchard, Ricky Foster, and Thomas "Spud" Luther.

Honorary pallbearers to serve are Tony Hunley, Myron Gurley, Max Cary, Steve Scott, Billy Smith, and Gene Baker, Joe Edwards and Randall Roark

Mr. Rosser was born July 7, 1925 in Clarksburg, Tennessee to the late Geeter Grover Cleveland Rosser and Hattie Mae (Pendergrass) Rosser. He was a technician for Dupont and served in the United States Army during World War II. He was a member of the Clarksburg Church of Christ. Besides his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Rosser, and a brother, Johnny Rosser.

He is survived by a daughter, Beth Garrott, of Mt. Juliet, Tennessee, a son, Steven Rosser, Sr. (Janet) of Clarksburg, ten grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren, and thirteen nieces and nephews.
