Mr. James Priestly Scott, 90 of Clarksburg, Tennessee passed away Sunday, April 28, 2019 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, April 30, 2019 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home.  Bro. Tim Rogers and Bro. Mark Simons will officiate the service.  Interment will follow in the Seller's Hill Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral home on Monday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Scott was born February 20, 1929 in Huntingdon, Tennessee, to the late Edgar Scott and Allie (Simpson) Scott.  He was retired from the Carroll County Highway Department as an Equipment Operator, a member of Roan's Creek Church of Christ and a member of the rural fire department for several years.  He was also preceded in death by one sister, Valine Ross.

He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Willie Mae Scott, one daughter, Wanda Morris (Ryan), one son, Ricky Scott (Carol), both of Huntingdon.  He also leaves four grandchildren, Brent Scott, Cody Scott, Faith Reeves, Candace Brewer, and nine great-grandchildren, Kyleigh, Hunter, Kimber, Lydia, Natalie, Knoxley, Gracelynn, Cayden, and Courtlyn.
