Mr. James Q. Taylor, 94, of Clarksburg, Tennessee passed away Thursday, February 23, 2017 at Northcliff Assisted Living in Lexington.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 26, 2017 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Clarksburg Cemetery. Bro. Philip Halter will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Taylor was born February 21, 1923 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Leland and Cynthia (Flake) Taylor. He retired from the Milan Arsenal, also farmed most of his life, and was a member of the Clarksburg Missionary Baptist Church. He was a good and loving father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Kathleen "Tip" Taylor; a son, Timothy Taylor; two sisters, Cornelia Grant and Gracie Kelly; one brother, Wayne Taylor.

He is survived by one daughter, Phyllis Mc Daniel (Steve) of Parkers Crossroads; one son, Wallace Taylor (Lawanda) of Clarksburg; one sister, Dorothy Porter of Dallas, Texas. He also leaves three grandchildren, David Taylor, Andrea McDaniel Smith, and Shawna Barger Smith and four great grandchildren, Zach Taylor, Ben Taylor, Keller Smith and Lucas Smith.
