Mrs. Martha Jane Kirby, 86 of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Monday, February 28, 2022, at Baptist Hospital.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 5, 2022, at 12:00 PM noon, in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Lynn Stapleton officiating. Interment will follow in Jamison Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Saturday from 10:00 A.M. until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Caleb Darnell, Brian Campbell, Dewayne Spellings, Brayden Baxter, Lee Baxter and Mason Spellings.  Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny Scates, Dennis Scates, Mark Young, and Michael Spellings.

Mrs. Kirby was born February 6, 1936, in Westport, Tennessee, to the late Marshall and Zona Thurman Spellings. She was an inspector with Borden's Company (Cracker Jack), a member of the Huntingdon Missionary Baptist Church, and an avid Cubs fan. She was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, William Charles Kirby, six brothers and three sisters.

She is survived by two daughters, Vicky Myracle (Ricky) of Lexington, Beverly Darnell (Larry) of McLemoresville, a sister, Frances Scates, of Bruceton, three grandchildren, Bryan Jones, Caleb Darnell, Megan Darnell Campbell, and four great-grandchildren.
