Mrs. Janice Kyle Townsend 51, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Thursday, December 25, 2014 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 28, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will followed in Christian Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Doug Sellers will officiate the service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Freddie Kirksey, Jamie Kyle, Travis Kyle, William Daily, Anthony Boyd and Max Hall.

Mrs. Townsend was born July 1, 1963 in Carroll County, Tennessee. She was a loving mother, daughter and wife. She had worked for Norandal and was a member of the Christian Chapel Church of Christ. She was preceded in death by her father, Billy Gene Smothers.

She is survived by her husband Gerald Townsend; her mother, Floy Smothers; two daughters, Brandy Kyle, Jacqualine Green (Terry); adopted daughter, Susan Gibson; one son, Joseph Kyle (Misty) all of Huntingdon, and two brothers, Dwayne Smothers of Atlanta, Georgia and Timothy Smothers (Sheila) of Huntingdon. She also leaves six grandchildren, Savana Kyle, Cheyene Kyle, Colton Kyle, Jasyn Kyle, Layne Kyle, and Brantley Kyle.
