Mrs. Janie Juanita (Sellers) Bird 87, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, September 2, 2014 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, September 7, 2014 at 3:30 PM at the Obion Chapel Church of Christ. Interment will follow in the Church Cemetery. Bro. Ernest Pounds will officiate the service.

Pallbearers who will serve are David Tines, Jimmy Noe, Randy Sellers, Jimmy Pearson, Billy Alpert and Dean Adams. Honorary Pallbearers are Billy Tines and Travis Tines.

The family will receive friends on Sunday at the Obion Chapel Church of Christ from 1:30 PM until time of service.

Mrs. Bird was born April 8, 1927 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late William H. and Irine (Tines) Sellers. She was a homemaker and a member of the Obion Chapel Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death by a brother, Tommie Sellers and a grandson, Will Bird.

She is survived by her husband of 70 years, William Norval Bird of Cedar Grove; two sons, Dwayne Bird (wife Judy) of Arlington and Gary Bird (wife Barbara) of Eads. She also leaves six grandchildren, Ken Bird, Sherry (Bird) Yoho, Brian Bird, Seth Bird, Mark Bird, and Amanda (Bird) Pinto and fourteen great grandchildren, Kenny, Ronnie, Taylor, Dean, Ryan, Madison, Karlyn, Gunnar, Hannah, Ally, Zay, Janie, Mason, and Gracie.
