Mrs. Janis Eleanor Ozier, 84, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Monday, July 2, 2018 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, July 4, 2018 at 9:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Jamison Cemetery. Bro. Gary Douglas will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Ozier was born February 19, 1934 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Charley L. and Gillie Ann (Joyner) Smith. She had worked for the Publix Shirt Company and was a member of the Westport Missionary Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Leonard Cary; three sisters, Joann Bridges, Laverne Turner, and Elavan Smith.

She is survived by a daughter, Wanda Rush (Ralph) of Huntingdon; two sons, Mike Cary (Cindy) of Westport and Mark Cary (Joyce) of Alexandria, Louisiana; a step son, Ed Ozier of Lexington; a sister Patsy Park of Paris. She also leaves eight grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
