Mrs. Lois Jean Eason, 91, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, March 7, 2023 at Harmony Hills Assisted Living in Huntingdon.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations directed to First United Methodist Church, 101 Asbury Circle, Huntingdon, TN 38344 or Bibles thru Gideons International.

Memorial service will be conducted on Thursday, March 16, 2023 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Bro. Tim Atkins.  Private burial to follow.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 9:00 until time of service.

Mrs. Eason was born March 20, 1931 in Huntingdon, Tennessee, to the late Lois and Lorene (Johnson) Townsend.  She was a LPN at Baptist Hospital and a member of Huntingdon First United Methodist Church.  Her hobbies included spending time with her family, crocheting, gardening and crossword puzzles.  Other than her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Robert "Bobby" Eason, a sister, Nell Ferrell and a brother, Garvin Townsend.

She is survived by two daughters, Alice Stanfield (Bobby), Ellen McMackin (Donnie), both of Huntingdon, two sons, Dennis Eason (Becky) of McKenzie, Hal Eason (Ruth) of Hollow Rock, and one brother, David Townsend (Wanda) of Paris.  She also leaves six grandchildren, Brad Eason, Stephen Eason, Shanna Boyd, Jennifer Roney, Catherine Stanfield, Sara Eason and four great grandchildren.
