Mrs. Jean Floyd, 77 of Westport, Tennessee, passed away Tuesday, December 8, 2015 at Tennova Healthcare Regional Hospital in Jackson.
Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, December 11, 2015 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Jamison Cemetery. Bro. George Avery and Bro. Matthew Floyd will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Thursday after 4:00 PM and on Friday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
Mrs. Floyd was born September 11, 1938 in Obion County, Tennessee to the late James Henry Jones and Ada Lou (Harris) Jones Norden. She was a retired seamstress for the Publix Shirt Company and was a Baptist by Faith. She was also preceded in death by one sister, Mae Hayes; four brothers, Owen Jones, William "Bill" Jones, Elgie "Scrub" Jones, and Mack Jones.
She is survived by her husband of almost 62 years, Edd Junior Floyd; two daughters, Beckie McNeely (Jerry) of Atwood, Darlene Kirk (Bobby) of Huntingdon; two sons, Eddie Dean Floyd (Becky) of Westport and Willie "Peewee" Floyd (Auga) of Bruceton; one sister, Mary Evans of Huntingdon. She also leaves seven grandchildren, Angie Harrison, Jeannie Bostick, Christy Tucker, Matthew Floyd, Megan Kirk, Michelle Barrett, and Faith Kirk, and twelve great grandchildren.
