Mrs. Jennie Dathel Gateley 90, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, December 17, 2013 at the Huntingdon Health and Rehabilitation Center.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, December 19, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens. Bro. Kerry Mallard officated the service.
The family will receive friends in Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday after 5:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.
Pallbearers who served were Tyler McDonald, Taylor McDonald, Travis McDonald, Jimmy Paul McKinnie, Tommy McGee and Billy Thompson.
Mrs. Gateley was born September 23, 1923 in Lake County, Tennessee to the late Sam E. and Lillith A. (Allen) Bolerjack. She was a retired hairdresser for West End Beauty Shop, a member of the Twin Oaks Church of Christ and a member of the National Hairdresser Association. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Jackson Gateley; two sisters, Cristine Spain, Blondell Hensley and two brothers, Leland Bolerjack and Lyman Bolerjack.
She is survived by three daughters, Brenda McDonald of Huntingdon, Molly Thompson (husband Billy) of Memphis, Joy Orley (husband Jimmy) of McKenzie; two sons, Richard York (wife Martha) of Milan, Allen T. Gateley of Kentucky and one brother, Lewis Bolerjack (wife Shelby) of Bradford. She also leaves nine grandchildren, twenty great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren.
