Obituary

Mr. Jerrell Clayton Newbill 80, of Trezevant, Tennessee passed away Friday, July 11, 2014 at the Milan General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, July 13, 2014 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Union Academy Cemetery. Bro. Darrell Ridgely will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who served were Dale Nelson, Jr., Ronnie Cooper, Matthew Cooper, Lewis Arnold, Ken Walker, and Charlie Cowan. Honorary Pallbearers were Jeromy Newbill and Jack Jackson.

Mr. Newbill was born September 28, 1933 in Huntingdon, Tennessee to the late Joe and Vivian (Hall) Newbill. He was a retired carpenter for AMP Construction, a member of the Trezevant Church of Christ, and he served in the United States Army and was a Veteran of the Korean War.

He is survived by two daughters, Sherry Newbill Dycus (husband Terry) of Huntingdon and JoKaren Newbill of Linden; one son, Jerry Newbill of Trezevant; two step sons, Michael Moore of Huntingdon, and Barry Moore (wife Jennifer) of Clarksburg; one sister, Carolyn Newbill of Huntingdon; two brothers, Giles Newbill (wife Mable) and Terry Newbill both of Huntingdon, and a very special friend, Jessie Flowers of Linden. He also leaves five grandchildren, Cayce Brinkley (husband Daniel), Jeromy Newbill, Payton Newbill, Austin Newbill and Savannah Newbill and two great grandchildren, Makayla Brinkley and Tyler Brinkley.
