Mr. Jerry Wayne Spellings, 69, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, October 26, 2013 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, October 28, 2013 at 12:00 noon in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Jamison Cemetery. Bro. Bud Ricketts and Bro. Lynn Stapleton will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday after 3:00 PM and on Monday, from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Spellings was born August 1, 1944 in Westport, Tennessee to the late Marshall C. Spellings and Zona Thurman. He was a route carrier for the U.S. Postal Service in Hollow Rock/Bruceton for 30 years, drove a delivery gas truck for the M&W Oil Company as a "Gulf Distributor" for 26 years, and was a member of the Westport Missionary Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by his son, Phillip Ray Spellings.

He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Elizabeth Baxter Spellings, one daughter, Michelle Denise Martin (husband Matt) of Atwood, two sons, Jerry Dewayne Spellings of Lexington, and Joseph Michael Spellings (wife DeAnn) of Huntingdon, two sisters, Frances Scates of Hollow Rock and Jane Kirby of Huntingdon, and nine grandchildren, Samantha and Stephen Miller, Abby, Mason, McCauley, and McKinley Spellings, Tyler McDaniel, and Blake and Faith Martin
