Mr. Jimmy "Jim" Clark Springer, 74, of Huntingdon, Tennessee, passed away Saturday, September 12, 2020 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital in Jackson, Tennessee.

Mr. Springer was born July 25, 1946 in Huntingdon, Tennessee, to the late James and Gladys (Gooch) Springer.  He worked at Bethel University as a Professor of sociology and a long-time social worker at Carey Counseling Center.  He was a successful sportsman and his favorite hobbies included hunting, fishing, horse farrier, and field trial trainer for championship dogs.

He is survived by one daughter, Lainie Springer (wife Michelle) of New Paltz, New York and one son, David Springer (wife Maria Jose') of Nashville.  He also leaves one granddaughter, Mia Springer.
