Mr. Jimmy Lynn Umstead, 81, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Thursday, February 27, 2020 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Bro. Lynn Stapleton will officiate the service. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Friday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home and on Saturday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Umstead was born February 21, 1939 in Yuma, Tennessee to the late Sam and Frances (Gooch) Umstead. He was a member of New Hope Missionary Baptist Church. He was an equipment operator for Dement Construction. He was also preceded in death by a sister, Louellen Newbill and a brother Franklin Umstead

He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Julia Umstead and a son Ricky Umstead (Denise).  He also leaves two grandsons, Shane Umstead and Colton Umstead, all of Huntingdon.
