Mr. Joe Thomas Hamilton, 79 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at the Huntingdon Health & Rehab Center.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 22, 2012 at 3:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Chapel Hill Cemetery. Bro. Fred Ward and Bro. James Humphrey will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday after 4:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Jason Fields, Mark Williams, Paul Stokes, Larry Tippitt, Tommy Tippitt and Jeff Lowe. Honorary Pallbearers who will serve are Billy Dillahunty, Pat Williams, Dale Kelly, Darrell Smith, Bobby McDonald, Lynnwood Fields, Robert Barnhart, Jim Pickett, James Neely, Max Walker and Leslie Crossett.

Mr. Hamilton was born June 1, 1932 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Lee Hamilton and Faye (Fowler) Hamilton. He was a self employed retired barber, a member of the First Baptist Church Huntingdon, Huntingdon Elks Lodge, Jaycee and Ruritan Club. He was preceded in death by one son; Joe David Hamilton, a grandson; Chad Ray Kee and brother; Lee Hamilton, Jr.

He is survived by his wife of 60 years; Carolyn Hamilton, two daughters; Brenda Blackwell Ray (husband Gerald) and Debbie Kee (husband Tony) all of Huntingdon. He also leaves five grandchildren; Betty Jaskolka (husband Mark), Sharon Thornton (husband Robert), Ashley Hastings (husband Hunter), Alex Hamilton and Hunter Hamilton and one great grandson; Thomas Thornton.
