Miss John Helen Mitchell, 96, formerly of Jackson, passed away peacefully, Tuesday
September 26, 2017 at Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon, Tennessee.

Graveside funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, September 30, 2017 at 10:30 AM at Carroll Memorial Gardens. Bro. Henry Simpson will officiate the service.


John Helen as she was known to friends and family was a graduate of Huntingdon High School and a retiree from the South Central Bell system, where she worked for over 30 years. She loved her many friends and small but tight knit family. She was a devoted Christian and enjoyed attending the West Jackson Baptist Church. Also, she was a lifelong St. Louis Cardinals fan. She will be remembered fondly by those who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother Margaret Orr Mitchell, and two sisters,
Ernestine Williams of Huntingdon and Bernice Moore of Memphis.
