Mr. John William "Little Red" Lowe 78, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, August 27, 2013 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.
Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, August 29, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Seventh Day Adventist Cemetery. Bro. Wayne Burton will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Thursday from 10:00 AM until time of service.
Mr. Lowe was born March 19, 1935 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Riley Curtis and Merlie Mae (Rogers) Lowe. He retired from Proctor & Gamble after 20 years and also worked 20 years for the Public Shirt Company and a member of the Seventh Day Adventist Church. He was also preceded in death by one grandson, Jason Pratt and two brothers, Doyle Lowe and Paul Lowe.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years Betty (Jarrett) Lowe; three daughters, Sandra Stavley of McKenzie, Teresa Kay Galloway (husband Larry) of Milan and Pam Hammonds (husband Greg) of Trenton and one brother, Harold Lowe of Camden. He also leaves four grandchildren, Jamie Stavley, Chad Pratt, Crystal Brasfield, Madison Hampton, two step grandchildren, Taylor Hammonds and Nathan Hammonds, one great grandson, James William Stavley and his fury friend, Rusty.
