Mr. John William Sands, 56, of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away Monday, February 29, 2016 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, March 2, 2016 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Carter's Chapel Cemetery. Bro. Mike Ridgeley will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday after 5:00 PM and on Wednesday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Sands was born July 12, 1959 in Rochester, New York. He was a material handler for The Carlstar Tire Group. He enjoyed Super Chevy Classic Cars and riding his motorcycle. He was preceded in death by a brother in law, Jessie Wayne Edwards.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Debra Sands of Cedar Grove; his parents, Richard and Rose Sands of McKenzie; one step daughter, Amanda Jowers of Huntingdon; two sons, Jonathan Sands and Travis Sands (Brooke) both of Cedar Grove; two sisters, Janet Guerrieri of McKenzie, Elizabeth Cole (Alan) of Big Rock; two brothers, Edward Sands (Teresa) of McKenzie and David Sands (Kay) of Henry; four sister in laws, Linda Trull (Tommy) of Cedar Grove, Charlene Kelley (James) of Hollow Rock, Darlene Pryor (Jerry) of Huntingdon and Sheila Hilliard (Doug) of Huntingdon; one brother in law, James Edwards of McKenzie. He also leaves one granddaughter, Kylie Sands; two step grandchildren, Ashley and Ashton, and several nieces and nephews.
