Mrs. Johnie Elizabeth (Wright) Newhouse, 89 of Bruceton, Tennessee went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Thursday, October 20, 2022, at Harmony Hill Assisted Living.

Funeral services were conducted on Friday, October 28, 2022 at 1:00 PM at Calvary Missionary Baptist Church in Bruceton with Bro. Robert Simmons officiating.  Interment will follow in Massey-Liles Cemetery.

Mrs. Newhouse was born November 5, 1932, to the late J.C. (Dib) Wright and Mary Malinda (Grissom) Wright. She was a member of Calvary Missionary Baptist Church, in Bruceton. Johnie had spent 34 years living in Griffith, Indiana working for over twenty-five of those years at Smith Victor Corporation, Griffith, Indiana. After moving back to Tennessee in 1986, she worked at Q-Mart in Bruceton for many years. She loved gardening and canning and being out in her yard.  She was preceded in death by her husband of 67 years, Ralph L. Newhouse, and by one granddaughter, Bethany Lynn Newhouse.

She is survived by her son, Tony Newhouse (Karen) of Thermopolis, Wyoming, four sisters, Hazel Marshall, Lois Servance, Norma Milligan and Rachel Reed, a brother, Edward Wright and her granddaughter, Kristin (David) Reese of Lakeport, California.  She also leaves four                  great-grandchildren, Asher, Silas, Jude, and Ellis Reese and numerous nieces and nephews.
