Mr. Johnny Gale Carter, 65 of Milan, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, January 16, 2022 at the West Tennessee Health Care Center in Milan.

In lieu of flowers the family would like donations be directed to Le Bonheur Children's Hospital, 848 Adams Ave, Memphis, TN 38103

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, January 20, 2022, at 1:00 PM at the Twin Oaks Baptist Church in Cedar Grove with Bro. Bobby Crowe and Bro. Douglas Powell officiating.  Interment will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Twin Oaks Baptist Church on Thursday from 11:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Carter was born June 26, 1956 in Trezevant, Tennessee.  He was self-employed as a brick mason, attended Twin Oaks Baptist Church and served in the National Guard for several years.  He was preceded in death by his father, Johnny Raymond Carter.

He is survived by one daughter, Bridgett Dawn Greenhill (Derrick), one son, Joshua Carter (Melinda Jones), both of Paris, his mother, Billie Fay Broadway of Milan, two sisters, Susan Thompson (Alan) of Milan, Teresa Mealer of San Bernardino, California, three brothers, Billy Raymond Carter, William Carter (Christie), both of McKenzie, and Gary Lee Carter (Jessica) of Jackson.  He also leaves four grandchildren, Jeremy, Cameron, Keegan, and Eva.
