Mr. Joy Junior Goodrum, 71 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, August 9, 2013 at his home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, August 11, 2013 at 4:00PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Independence Cemetery. Bro. Steve Hoots and Bro. Nathan Gulledege will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room on Saturday after 5:00PM and on Sunday from 9:00AM until time of service.

Mr. Goodrum was born September 9, 1941 in Carroll County to the late William and Irene (Warner) Goodrum. He was a retired machinist for Camden Castings and Co-Pastor for the Liberty Christian Fellowship Church. He was also preceded in death by a son, Lynn Goodrum, and four sisters, Inez Goodrum, Sadie Anderson, Opal Hinson, and Pauline Rumley.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Oretha Goodrum, one daughter, Karen Mitchell (husband Chris) of Buena Vista, two sons, Joel Goodrum (wife Melissa) and David Goodrum (wife Hollye) both of Huntingdon, and one sister, Nell Payne (husband Billy Joe) of Hillsboro, Alabama. He also leaves 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
