Mrs. Joyce Ann Newbill 68, of Trezevant, Tennessee passed away Friday, May 2, 2014 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, May 5, 2014 at 10:00 AM at the Union Academy Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Bro. Toby Swinford will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Sunday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Monday at the Union Academy Church from 8:00 AM until time of services.

Mrs. Newbill was born November 27, 1945 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late William Andrew Smith and Etta Virginia (Manns) Smith. She was retired from the Bellsouth Corporation as a Customer Care Specialist after 22 years of service, a member of the A T & T Pioneers, and was a member of the Union Academy Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Richard Newbill and one brother, Bobby Joe Smith.

She is survived by two sons, Brian Newbill (wife Angela) of Dyersburg, Randy Newbill of McKenzie, two sisters, Pam Swearingen (husband Jerry) of Huron, Patsy Burns (husband Jack) of Bartlett, and one brother, Sherrall Smith (wife Wanda) of Trezevant.
