Mr. Kenneth Pate, 72 of Cedar Grove, Tennessee passed away Thursday, November 28, 2013 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, December 1, 2013 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery. Bro. Dewayne Brown will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Pate was born April 9, 1941 in Dyer County, Tennessee to the late James and Jessie (McCutcheon) Pate. He was a retired river boat driver and served in the United States Navy. He was also preceded in death by an infant daughter, Belinda Pate and a sister, Nellie Burton.

He is survived by one daughter, Tammy Parrish (husband Kenneth) of Linden, one step daughter, Sherry Baker of McKenzie; three step sons, Ricky Barker (wife Sandy) of Parsons, Tim Barker (wife Georgiana) of Savannah and Donald Meals of Cedar Grove;one sister, Joyce Carroll of Linden and two brothers, Dallas Pate of Parsons and Doug Pate of Waverly. He also leaves several grandchildren and great grandchildren.
