Mr. L.A. Moody 80, of Jackson, Tennessee passed was Monday, March 10, 2014 at Maplewood Health Care in Jackson.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, March 13, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Rev. Alex Hilliard will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who served were Robert Moody, Samuel Moody, Jeff Noles, Nick Noles, Ricky Barger and Jon Moody. Honorary pallbearers were Milburn Noles, Larry Moody and Tommy Gay.

Mr. moody was born December 11, 1933 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Rosser C. and Effie Lena (Rainey) Moody. He was a retired sales manager for the Utilcor Company and served in the United States Navy and National Guard. He was also preceded in death by his brother, Richard Moody.

He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Mary Ann Moody; one daughter, Julie Ann Moody both of Jackson; one son, Norman Moody (wife Carolyn) of Memphis; two sisters, Marjorie Noles (husband Milburn) of Huntingdon, Dianne Gay (husband Tommy) of Little Rock, Arkansas, one brother, Larry Moody (wife Mary) of Huntingdon, and a brother-in-law, Rone Stone of Pensalcola, Florida. He also leaves three grandsons, Robert Alexander Moody, Samuel Harrison Moody and Thomas James Moody.
