Mr. Larry Townsend 79, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, September 16, 2014 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Palmer Shelter Cemetery. Bro. Marty Johnson will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Wednesday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Thursday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. Townsend was born June 11, 1935 in Huntingdon, Tennessee to the late Kenneth and Odell (Mann) Townsend. He was a member of the Camden First United Pentecostal Church, a farmer and avid deer hunter. He was also preceded in death by one sister, Ann Greer and one brother, Donald Townsend.

He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Georgia Townsend; two daughters, Judy Ringold (husband Edward) of Bartlett, Shelli Townsend of Oakland, and one son, Tommy Townsend of Trenton; one brother, Terry Townsend (wife Wanda) of Huntingdon. He also leaves five grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and a special friend, Nathaniel Martin and Family.
