Mrs. Lavern Derryberry Morrissett 91, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Friday, April 25, 2014 at her home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 27, 2014 at 2:00PM at the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon. Interment will follow in Carroll Memorial Gardens. Bro. Fred Ward will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00PM until 8:00PM and on Sunday, from 9:00AM until time of service at the church.

Mrs. Morrissett was born November 29, 1922 in Martin, Tennessee to the late Will Derryberry and Myrtie (Radford) Derryberry. She was the owner of the Morrissett Tire Company. She was also a member of the First Baptist Church in Huntingdon for over 60 years and a member of the Midwest TN Genealogical Society. She is also preceded in death by her husband Romie Morrissett, one sister, Thelma Roudenbusch, one niece, Elaine Chadwick, and one nephew, David Roudenbusch.

She is survived by two sons, James R. Morrissett Jr. of Huntingdon and Phillip Lynn Morrissett of McKenzie. She also leaves three grandchildren and four great-grandchildren.
