Obituary

Mr. Leaniear Brown Douglas, 94, of Parkers Crossroads, Tennessee passed away Monday, April 3, 2023 at his home.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home with Pastor Anthony Gordon officiating.  Interment will follow on Monday, April 10, 2023 at 9:30 at the Tennessee State Veterans Cemetery at Parkers Crossroads.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of the service.

Mr. Doulas was born April 26, 1928 in Lexington, Tennessee, to the late Robert Pomp and Mary (Olive) Douglas.  He was self-employed as an auto body mechanic, a member of Bible Hill Missionary Baptist Church and an US Army Veteran serving during the Korean war.  Other than his parents, he was also preceded in death by his son, Ronnie (Linda) Douglas of  Wildersville, TN.

He leaves to mourn, celebrate and cherish his memories: 5 children: Carol (Sid) Lyles of Charlotte, NC, Alton (Stacey) Douglas of Parkers Crossroads, TN, Alfred Douglas of Memphis TN, Reynold (Pam) Douglas of Cordova, TN, and Sheila Fisher of Nashville TN; 11 grand-children: Krystle, Chris, Brian, Courtney, Brittany, Kevin, Deseandra, Alex, Tessica, Tiffany, and Kenya; 16 great grandchildren: Angel, Amya, Re'gan, Ameliyah, Sierra, Cameron, Jackson, Azai, Kessiah, Corde', Jamison, Ariana, Callie, Ava, Alijah, and Judson, and a host of nieces and nephews, and cousins. He also leaves behind many friends and will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
