Leola Mae Swinford's Obituary
Mrs. Leola Mae Swinford 72, of Linden, formerly of Yuma, Tennessee passed away Wednesday, April 10, 2013 at her home.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, April 13, 2013 at 1:00 PM at the Yuma Baptist Church. Interment will follow in New Hope Cemetery. Bro. Phillip Halter will officiate the service.
The family will receive friends at the Yuma Baptist Church beginning at 11:00 AM on Friday until time of service Saturday.
Pallbearers who will serve are Eliseo Ballesterds, Leroy Zerbe, Joesph Zerbe, Justin Gahagan, Marty McLemore and Ethan Martin.
Mrs. Swinford was born November 11, 1940 in Big Rapids, Michigan to the late Cloyce and Viola (Thumser) VanAlstine. She was the owner of Swinford Farm. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Walter Jerome Swinford, one daughter, Tereasa Swinford, two sons, Timothy Cloyce Swinford, Thomas Swinford, and four brothers, Essie VanAlstine, Clifford VanAlstine, Sewayne VanAlstine and Melvin VanAlstine.
She is survived by one daughter, Tammy Ashcraft (Mark) of Lawrence, Kansas, one daughter in law, Teresa Swinford of Clarksburg, four sons, Tony Swinford (Shonda) of Reagan, Walter Swinford Jr. (Dee) of Camden, Toby Swinford (Christie) of Yuma, and Michael Swinford of Linden and two sisters, Conda Slaton (Eliseo) of Clarksburg and Sheila Davis (Larry) of Chandler, Indiana. She also leaves twenty grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
