Obituary

Mrs. Lillian Rachel Williams, 94 of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Saturday, January 10, 2015 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Bethlehem cemetery. Bro. Kerry Mallard will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Monday from 3:00 PM until 9:00 PM and on Tuesday from 8:00 AM until time of services.

Pallbearers who will serve are her grandchildren.

Mrs. Williams was born in Carroll County, Tennessee on April 16, 1920 to the late Thomas Anderson Chandler and Lillian Ernestine (Morgan) Chandler. She was some what of a miracle baby because after being born they could not get her started breathing. After working with her for several minutes to start her breathing they gave up and thought she was dead. They laid her on the bed beside her mother and covered her with a blanket. After an hour or more, her mother noticed the blanket move and upon removing it, she found her moving her hands and feet and breathing normally. She was a loving mother and housewife, and was a member of the Twin Oaks Church of Christ. She was also preceded in death one brother, Cecil, four sisters, Louise, Audrey, Dolphine, Margaret, her husband, James F. Williams, one son, Freddie R. Williams, and two great grandchildren, Madelyn Beamon and Ryan Cole.

She is survived by five sons, Tommy Williams (wife Clara) of Jackson, J. D. Williams (wife Rutha) of Milan, David Williams (wife Phyllis) and Trent Williams (wife Tracy) both of Huntingdon, Lance Williams (wife Gigi) of Arlington, five daughters, Joyce Lackey (husband Mark) of Brownsville, Carolyn Rowland (husband Dennis) of Dexter, Missouri, Frances Coleman (husband Jack), Katherine Beamon (husband John), and Christine Ellis (husband Otis) all of Huntingdon. She also leaves twenty six grandchildren, fifty one great grandchildren, two step great grandchildren, and eight great great grandchildren.
