Linda Lousie Dotson Oatsvall, age 76, of Huntingdon, Tennessee transitioned peacefully to Heaven's glory on Thursday, November 30, 2023 at the Lantern at Morning Pointe in Franklin, TN.
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 9, 2023 at Chase Funeral Home in Huntingdon, Tennessee with visitation beginning at 10:00 AM. Interment will follow in Palmer Shelter Cemetery with Brother Jacob Harris officiating.
Linda is preceded in death by her husband, Troy E. Oatsvall; son, Michael Joe Spence; father, Robert Raymond Dotson; mother, Thelma Louise Reed Roberts; brother, Henry Lee Dotson; and sister, Judy Ann Thomas. Linda is survived by her son, Tommy Joe Spence of Humboldt, TN; her daughter, Lisa Jo Spence Beard and son-in-law Charles Richard Beard of Fairview, stepchildren Dayna Smith of Huntingdon, TN and Steve Oatsvall of McKenzie.TN; brothers, Bill Dotson and Bob Dotson of Tullahoma, TN; sisters, Sherri Taylor of Winchester, TN and Brenda Aupperlee of West Palm Beach, FL; five grandchildren, Joseph Benjamin Beard of Knoxville, TN; Laura Jo Gill of Heiskell, TN; Alyssa Cha Huerta of Cookeville,TN; Noah Jackson Spence of Cookeville, TN; and Waker Nathaniel Spence of Arden, NC; and one great-grandchild, Lillian Junelei Gill of Heiskell, TN.
Linda entered the workforce as a carhop in the 1960s and loved to serve people. She spent several decades as a bank teller in Water Valley, MS and Gibson, TN, and eventually served as a bookkeeper/accountant at Milan Arsenal until retirement.
Linda was a devoted and beloved mother, church member, and friend. Linda was an active member of First Baptist Church in Huntingdon and enjoyed the fellowship and friendship of her Sunday School class and church body. In her retirement years she enjoyed working with toddlers in the daycare program at Huntingdon Baptist Church, reading and studying her Bible, serving others, and traveling. Her family will always remember her giving heart and selfless spirit.
