Mrs. Lotha Katherine Maness, 84 of Buena Vista, Tennessee, passed away Sunday, January 8, 2017 at Huntingdon Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, January 11, 2017 at 11:00 AM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in McAuley Cemetery. Bro. Billy Clark will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until time of service.

Mrs. Maness was born July 6, 1932 in Henderson County, Tennessee to the late Luther Maness and Quincie (Hamilton) Maness. She was a retired Seamstress for the Henry I. Siegel Company and a member of the Mt. Nebo Missionary Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Junior Maness; a daughter, Charlotte Smothers; a sister, Etta Maness; two brothers, Onis Maness and Van Maness.

She is survived by a daughter, Sue Smith (husband Donnie) of Buena Vista. She also leaves four grandchildren, Trevor Smith (wife Joanna) of Buena Vista, Stephanie Ruffell (husband James) of Huntingdon, Stacey Phelps (husband Mike) of Hollow Rock, and Brent Jackson of Huntingdon and five great grandchildren, Junah Smith, Sarah Smith, Kaley Ruffell, Allie Ruffell, and Gage Phelps.
