Mr. Louis Edward King, 69, of Lexington, Tennessee passed away Monday, March 12, 2018 at the Henderson County Community Hospital in Lexington.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 17, 2018 at 1:00 PM at the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church on Saturday from 11:00 AM until time of service.

Mr. King was born December 20, 1948 in Yazoo, Mississippi to the late Cleveland King and Lula Wilkerson. He was a retired correction officer for the Lake County Sheriff's Department and was a member of the Hopewell Missionary Baptist Church where he served as a Deacon.

He leaves to cherish his life; wife, Sharon A. King, two daughters, Layrashaunda E. Williams, Lexington, TN, Fettia (Bobby) Terrell, Appleton, Wisconsin, one son, Brandon Louis King, Portage, IN. two grandchildren; Louis Kalil Cathey and Elexus Bryant. three brothers; Henry (Mary) King, Robert King, Sr. and Oswald (Emma) King all of Gary, IN., two sisters-in-law, Brenda Taylor, Indianapolis, IN and Doris Merriweather, Crown Point, IN. His favorite uncle and aunt Wallace and Jestine Pearson, Champaign, IL. Numerous nieces and nephews, great nieces and nephews and great-great nieces and nephews. 6 God-children.
