Mrs. Madelyn Tippitt Williams, 98, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Thursday, October 22, 2015 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, October 25, 2015 at 2:00 PM at the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. Interment will follow in Humbles Cemetery. Bro. Alex Hilliard will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Oakwood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM and on Sunday from 10:00 AM until 1:30 PM.

Pallbearers who will serve are, Glenn Tippitt, Larry Tippitt, Tommy Tippitt, Weldon Bennett, Bobby Smith, and Billy Christian.

Mrs. Williams was born October 15, 1917 in Benton County, Tennessee to the late John and Pearl (Cox) Tippitt. She was retired from the Publix Shirt Corporation and a member of the Mt. Zion United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband Oren H. Williams; one son, James H. Williams; two brothers, Kenneth Tippitt and Bruce Tippitt.

She is survived by one daughter, Dorothy Robbins (husband Charles) of Huntingdon. She also leaves five grandchildren; Amy Williams (David), Brent Robbins (Beth), Chris Robbins (Alisha), Mike Williams (Jana), and Mark Williams and several great grandchildren.
