Mr. Manuel Dupree "Buckwheat" 69, of Bruceton, Tennessee passed away Monday, January 28, 2013 at the Baptist Memorial Hospital in Huntingdon.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, February 2, 2013 at 2:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Mt. Pleasant Cemetery.

The family will receive friends in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 1:00 PM until time of service.

Mr. Dupree was born July 27, 1943 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Eddie Dupree and Veddie (Foulks) Dupree. He was a self employed heavy equipment operator and a member of the Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. He was also preceded in death by sisters, Addie M. Harris and Palmer Barmore, infant sister Lida Virgie Dupree and infant brother, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

He is survived by his wife, Sandra Dupree; two sons, Emanuel Dupree (Cherice), Jason Dupree, one step daughter, Tara Shead (Phillip), one step son, Michael Phelps (Stacey), three brothers, JC Dupree (Virginia), Eddie Jean Dupree (Jo Carol), JR Dupree (Cherrie), four sisters, Eddie Mae Pearson; Jennie McCain; Lena Newbill (Othell) and Rena Porter (Eddie); He also leaves 5 grandchildren, Michael Paul Dupree, Casey O'Brien, Ryan Dupree, Jordan Phelps and Jasmine Dupree; one great grandson, Nathan Riley, two uncles, Oliver Foulks (Chestine), Joe Louis Foulks (Rose); one aunt Laculia Walker and a host of cousins and friends.
