Obituary

Mrs. Marcia Wildridge, 101, of Lexington, Tennessee passed away Sunday, December 28, 2025 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at Hickory Flat United Methodist Church at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, December 31, 2025, with Bro. Bobby Beecham and Bro. David Beecham officiating. Interment will follow in Hickory Flat Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at Hickory Flat United Methodist Church on Tuesday from 1:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 11:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Bobby Groves, Devin Wildridge, Matt Wildridge, Cody Wildridge, Rodney Wildridge, and Abe Lindsey.

Mrs. Wildridge was born February 25, 1924, in Clifton, Tennessee, to the late Oscar Gordon and Ada Alice Turnbo Gordon. She was a postmistress in Cedar Grove. She loved life to the fullest. She was known to everyone as "Mawmaw". She loved her family, friends and most of all the Lord, Jesus Christ. Mawmaw longed to go home to be with her husband Leon and her mother, Ada Clark and also her savior. She was also preceded in death by her brothers and sisters, J.C. Gordon, William Clark, Allie Sue Smith, Elise Humphrey and John Clark

She was preceded in death by her husband, Leon, a son Carl Wildridge (and his wife Anita), and two grandchildren, Sally Moorefield and Mitzi Wildridge.

She is survived by a son, Gordon Wildridge (Ruby) of Lexington, Tennessee, a sister, Annie Jo Kemp of Nashville, four grandchildren, Amy Johnson (Wayne), Sherry Lockart (Skip), Rodney Wildridge (Gina), Debbie Gregory (Jeff), Thirteen great grandchildren and eight great-great grandchildren.
