Obituary

Mrs. Margaret R. Russell Marbury, 91, of Huntingdon, Tennessee passed away Thursday, February 9, 2017 at the Life Care Center in Bruceton.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, February 12, 2017 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Bro. Sonny Daniel will officiate the service. Interment will follow in the Memorial Gardens in Brownsville at 3:30 PM with Bro. Fred Campbell officiating.

The family will receive friends in the Cherry Wood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Saturday from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Sunday from 11:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Nick Townsend, Billy Joe Marbury, Kevin Murray, Albert Lee Overton, Steven Nolen, and Connor Woods.

Mrs. Marbury was born on July 9, 1925 in Henderson County, Tennessee to the late James Thomas Russell and Lena (Bell) Russell. She was the ninth of 11 Children. The family later moved to Brownsville, TN, where she met and married Hardy B. Marbury. They raised 3 daughters, Joyce, Marie, and Sara. They also lived in Huntingdon, TN and Paris, TN. She was a member of the Holly Grove Baptist Church in Brownsville, TN and the Prospect Baptist Church in Hollow Rock, TN. She was preceded in death by her husband, Hardy B. Murbury; a granddaughter, Deidre Carol Hartsfield; a son-in-law, Don Richardson; and her ten brothers and one sister.

Mrs. Marbury is survived by her three daughters, Joyce Hartsfield Richardson of Paris, Marie Marbury of Camden, and Sara Townsend of Huntingdon. She also leaves four grandchildren, Bridget Murray (husband Kevin) of Evansville, IN, Stephanie Buckingham (husband Chris) of Camden, Tiffany Nolen (husband Steven) of Huntingdon, and Nick Townsend (wife Lindsey) of Lakeland and four great grandchildren, Connor Woods, Tatum Nolen, Taylor Townsend, and Brody Townsend .
