Rev. Marshall Harold Gurley 86 of Yuma, Tennessee passed away Tuesday, March 10, 2015 at the Jackson Madison County General Hospital.

Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, March 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM in the Chapel of Chase Funeral Home. Interment will follow in New Liberty Cemetery. Bro. Tim Maness and Bro Philip Halter will officiate the service.

The family will receive friends in the Cherrywood Room of Chase Funeral Home on Friday from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 8:00 AM until time of service.

Pallbearers who will serve are Bryan Castleberry, Lee Castleberry, Lance Vowell, Logan Foster, Bryan Marino, and Lee Bowling.

Rev. Gurley was born November 16, 1928 in Carroll County, Tennessee to the late Luther Vincent and Lois (Meals) Gurley. He was formerly employed with the Frito Lay Company, a Missionary Baptist Minister, a member of the New Liberty Missionary Baptist Church, and operated Gurley's Lawn service. He was also preceded in death by his wife of 62 years, Siddie Ellene Gurley; one sister, Eunis Gurley; two brothers, Raymond Gurley and Melvin Gurley; two great grandsons, Danny and Tyler Rogers.

He is survived by one daughter, Sandra J. Castleberry (husband Kim) of Oak Ridge; two sons, Nick L. Gurley (wife Beverly) of Cordova and Thomas H. Gurley of Memphis; one sister, Marie Snider of Bruceton, and one brother, James Gurley (wife Georgia) of Germantown. He also leaves six grandchildren, Bryan Castleberry, Lee Castleberry, Lori Vowell, Kathy Bowling, Stephanie Marino, and Connie Rogers and seven great grandchildren, Jessica Rogers, Kelby Castleberry, Bryler Castleberry, Ender Castleberry, Layla Vowell, Lane Vowell, and Latiara Threatt.
